SARAH MCINDOE, CAREER CONSULTANT: In any industry there are lots of different
jobs. To find the one that?s right for you, it helps to understand what makes the whole
industry tick. Say you?re interested in fashion. Now, we
all know about designers and models ? but there?s much more to it than designing and
wearing clothes; the fashion industry also has, buyers, merchandisers, even advertising
positions. Once you understand an industry, you can think
about how your skills and abilities would fit in. You might like an apprenticeship in
pattern making or tailoring. Or maybe the marketing side?s more your thing. There are heaps of ways to be involved in
any industry. You just need to find the job that?s right for you.
